Question: My house has been listed with my Real Estate Agency for about 6 months and has not sold. I don’t think my Agent is working hard enough! How do I choose another agent?

Answer: What is wrong with the Agency you have? Were you not satisfied when you first listed your home? Is your home priced to the current and future market? The marketplace has changed and we have for more homes for sale today than 6 months ago. If your agent has been in touch with you on a regular basis as to market changes and condition, run open houses and advertised; then why bother to change agency? Renew for another 3 to 4 months, work with your agent and realize the time and effort it takes. Ask for open houses, a sign, advertising and bi-monthly reports. If price reductions are needed, do it! Agents work on commission, they do not get weekly salaries and they pay for their own gas and other expenses. Open up communication, changing agencies is not always the answer.
