Setting the price Before setting a price – Do your homework
1. Visit other open houses, note floor plans, condition, appearance, size of lot, location and other features.
2. Particularly note, not only the asking prices but what they actually are selling for.
3. Remember, if you’re serious about getting your home sold Fast, don’t price it higher than your neighbor’s.
4. Find out how at least how much 3 homes of your style sold for in last 3 – 6 months and currently on the market a qualified Realtor can help you.
5. When you set your price, you make buyers aware of the absolute maximum they have to pay for your home. If you start too high you run risk of not being taken seriously by buyers, pricing too low can result in selling for much less than you were hoping for.
