Here are a few things to review yourself before we go through the home together to prepare it for the market.

• INSIDE:
Clear all unnecessary objects from the furniture
Remove unnecessary plants
Keep decorative items off the counter
A sparse kitchen helps the buyer picture their own things in place
Clear the front of the refrigerator
Keep only essential cosmetics on vanity tops in bathrooms
Coordinate towels, and use only one or two colors
Use decorative baskets to help organize open shelves
Remove excess furniture wherever possible
Clean floors and carpets, and paint walls where necessary
Leave certain lamps on during the day
Have FM stereo music on during the day for all showings

• OUTSIDE:
Move garbage cans into the garage
Clean gutters, sweep branches from the roof
Visually inspect the roof for rot or mildew
Prune bushes and trees for clearer view of the house
Clear patio and porches of unnecessary items
Clean or paint the front door and trim
Work for high “curb appeal” on the outside
